A better integration of the European Left will result in more progressive politics
In response to the challenges faced by European social-democracy, Fondation Jean-Jaurès and EuroCité present a paper by Italian Secretary of State for European Affairs Sandro Gozi.
Mr Gozi develops ideas for transformation and innovation within progressive parties throughout the EU, and calls for better coordination of the European left. According to his paper, the Left needs further European integration in order to be credible and carry innovative propositions.
By addressing the new cleavage between united progressive pro-European forces and Eurosceptics , the Left will be able to gain the respectability it deserves.
